Helpìng Students

Introduction;

The aims of this report are to provide solutions for some of the student's problems with their oral presentations, and help them.

Internet problems;

One of the problems students have is the lack of internet connection, sometimes they have to show their presentations online and they cannot so they have to talk without any device. In some schools the students directly don’t have a screen or some speakers, so the presentation is impossible.

Sources;
A very common problem is that the students choose information from  pages that are not correct. Students look for the easiest web pages without repetition about the quality of the information.

Speaking:
Students almost all the time have problems with their pronunciation is awful, but this is because they do not study grammar, and at the time of spelling they say what they think. Another problem could be that their fluency, because they get stucked and once they get they cannot say two words together.

Recommendations
Many students have problems at the moment of delivering an oral presentation.

·          Students could download the presentation at their house and bring it in a pen drive, also the school should improve their resources

·          Students may ask in which sources search as to use correct sources.

·          Students have to be sure of themselves and think that they can do it.

To conclude this problems includes not only the students, also includes the school.

Mad men

     In the subject of Thinking Skills we watch a video from the series of Mad Men. In which a Tobacco company, Lucky Strike, was trying to create an advertisement about their cigarettes; we had to analyse we had to answer two questions, the first question asked if we can found vested interest, and why Peter's idea was not so convincing.
  We can say that the company has a vested interest because it has something to gain or to lose from all the things of the lung cancer, because if the people realised this problem that cigarrettes have, the sells of the cigarettes start to fall. So they try to avoid the point so as to avoid the dropping of sells.
   Peter's idea consisted on accepting that tobacco was bad for health and dangerous but also stating that also were cars, but people still use and buy them. On the other hand Dom decides to "compare" Lucky Strike with other cigarette companies. While other cigarettes are bad for health, Lucky Strikes are toasted. This is a manipulation of evidence, they may not tell a lie, but they would be hiding the truth by showing certain evidence and hiding other. This worked because it makes people believe that other tobacco is unhealthy, but Lucky Strike's isn't.
