Essay of the Climates

In the class of Enviromental Managment we wrote an essay of the different climates, here you can see it.

In this essay I will write about the different climates that are all around the world. They are: Tropical continental, Equatorial, Monsoon, Cold Climate and Hot deserts.

Tropical Continental:
It’s found in the centre of continents where wet and dry seasons predominate as the two seasons along all the year. During the wet season rainfall is very high. But in the dry season rainfall is very little. When the wet season starts, the temperature is very high.
Equatorial:
It’s found between 5º either side of the Equator. The temperature is always, high. Also rainfall happen every days and very heavy but in a period of time of approximately 40 minutes. A characteristic of this climate is that day and night are both around 12 hours. The annual temperature range is very small.
Monsoon:
The climate depends mostly on the wind.  Because of this it has two different seasons. The south- west season is the hottest one that has extreme amounts of rainfall and low pressure. The other season is the north- east monsoon, with high pressure and very low amounts of rainfall. The temperature is very cold.
Cold Climate:
It’s found 60º north to the poles. It has very long winters which are dark and cold, but a bit higher temperature in summer. The wind makes the temperature colder and there are little amount of precipitation.
Hot desert:
It’s found in the west coast of continents. The temperature in general is higher all along the year. Rains are minimum. There is not rain because when the air descends becomes warm instead of releasing the rain; also the heat from the ground evaporates the water before it can come down as rain.
